The name Pharus comes from the latin word for Beacon. Beacons not only exist in our physical world, but also our emotional and spiritual embodiment. While exisiting as a physical product, the Pharus Lamps express a soft materiality and emit a warm glow. While utilizing touch sensors and wifi connectivity, each lamp blinks the others light, when touched. This communicative exchange between the objects evoke an emotional connection and sense of safetyfor the user, even when far apart.
